This is the universal language that reaches every heart & soul irrespective of their language, sex, age & nationality.Sounds like global integration ...i know.I was listening to OLD HINDI songs by the legends Manna Dey,Kishore kumar ,Mukesh & Rafi who inspired me to write my second post .Yeh raat bheegi bheegi ,yeh mast phizain......What an awesome track . There is a lot of difference between the kind of music of that era and music of todays age.No offence to the great composers, singers and music enthusiasts. But some how the magic of old songs will always remain eternal ...when we listen to them and sing along, its a beautiful feeling to upbeat ur mood.Trust me i think SPB( Balu ) is the last of those legends who is still carrying the legacy. This reminds me of Lataji and ; Balu who have both crossed a landmark record of singing more than 40000+ songs over the last 40 yrs.
I was wondering what really interests me these days ???? I was listening to this song :Chalte Chalte ( Pakeezah movie) and got back my lost interest.I am an ardent fan of ghazals and listen to them all time when I am alone or have the pref of listening in a group .Cant write anythng about English music since I am not so into it other than humming a couple of songs (Courtesy my wife : Hotel California & a couple of more - cant remember them).Apologies for not remembering even those few songs.
A few days back a cousin of mine had come home and we were catching up after a long time.Topic after topic we reached the music ,my wife and he were both talking about their favs from English music & I was lost during the entire conversation .
Is it really such a naive thing not to know any thing about English music ?????
